“Touching the streets with Black Dollar and introducing them to the new album, which is titled Black Market“.
“Sorry”, which premiered on New York radio station Power 105.1, is available below and will hit streaming sites and digital retailers on October 9th. From Rozay’s perspective the beef was light work (unlike Ross’ own beef with 50 Cent).
At the top of the interview, Ross elides discussion of his pending criminal case, “rebuking” co-host Angela Yee’s suggestion that he might end up doing jail time for an alleged pistol-whipping incident. “I’d probably be in my emotions as well if my first album were called, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, and I filed [for] bankruptcy”, Ross says. In the opening bars, he recalls his ex “licking every tattoo that’s on my face” before describing a trip to Las Vegas and mid-air rebound fling that failed to lift his spirits. “I appreciate ROSS for allowing me to be me on a record and speak from the heart”.
And for all the bosses, he has a word of advice: “Eliminate as many strangers as possible”.
He confirmed Black Market is the last album on his Def Jam contract and says it will be released in December.
