ThinkGeek Creates Fallout 4 Working Pip-Boy Replica
If you’ve always wanted a Pip-Boy, Bethesda has one for you, provided of course that you’re willing to spend $350.
Bethesda has also unviled the Pip-Boy Deluxe Bluetooth Edition set which provides a functioning Pip-Boy replica that pairs up with your Bluetooth phone or tablet similar vein to the previous released and highly sought after previous version. “It’s even better”, the listing says. However, it does also still connect to your smart device via Bluetooth which then allows you to place calls, play audio files, handle SMS messages and get access to your contacts.
Last year’s special edition of Fallout 4 did contain a Pip-Boy replica that was compatible with mobile phones, however, this new model is hailed as “not a phone case for your arm”, claiming to be more advanced and closer to a working replica than ever before.
The Pip-Boy has become an iconic part of gaming lore.
No self-respecting Wastelander would roam the post-apocalyptic Earth of Fallout without a Pip-Boy. In the game, the device has everything a person would need, including a Geiger Counter, a radio, maps, and much more. There’s a limit of two per costumer, and it’s only available in the US, Canada, and Australia. Most of the buttons and dials on the thing actually work.
The Pip-Boy: Deluxe Bluetooth Edition is powered by its own rechargeable lithium battery with the RobCo Industries stand acting as the charger. It even has an alarm clock and stereo speakers, and the top comparment stores a holotape that’s a USB drive. And it all ships in a Capsule-Case-inspired tin designated for Vault 111 deployment.
