This 3-year-old was abandoned outside a sandwich shop
Police are looking for the parents of a little girl left abandoned in a Subway restaurant in Harlem.
The man and the toddler entered the restaurant at 281 St. Nicholas Ave. around 11:30 p.m. The man bought the child a sandwich and then left, police said. She was wearing pink trousers, a light green dress with polka dots, and blue sneakers when she was found.
Emergency medical workers were summoned to the police station and took the girl to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was examined and released into the custody of the Administration for Children’s Services, the New York Times reported.
An employee at the eatery became alarmed after spotting the girl sitting there alone, authorities said. Police say a man named Stanley is a person of interest in the case. She is about 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.
The man she was with is described as 5-foot-5 and 180 pounds last seen wearing a red shirt and dark colored trousers, cops said.
Anyone with information in regards to this missing person is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
