This is the moment armed burglar crawls into sleeping family’s bedroom

New York Police Department released the shocking footage in hopes of locating the suspect, who broke into the Queens premises early Wednesday morning, local time.

This is the moment a knife-wielding burglar crawls around a sleeping family’s bedroom trying to steal a mobile phone.

When he reached the bedroom, the thief dropped to his hands and knees and crawled inside while holding what looks to be a knife in his mouth.

The armed intruder spent almost 40 minutes going from room to room before sneaking into a bedroom where a couple were sleeping with their three children. Authorities say the male suspect entered the home and made his way into the bedroom occupied by the 42-year-old victim.

The suspect lifts a Samsung S6 cellphone from the top of the dresser, but the victim awoke, police said, prompting the suspect to run away.

The burglar remains at large and the NYPD has released the footage in an attempt to capture him.

The man was last seen running down 33rd Avenue and was wearing all black, a black knit cap with the word “diamond” in red and white lettering.
