This is what to expect from the upcoming Mass Effect novels
The first book, Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative, will be released by Titan Books this August, and following it, three more books will follow into the game’s release in early 2017.
Some of the books will serve as prequels and as sequels, with the plot being different from the original games.
The publisher says the books will become part of the overall Mass Effect saga, and promises that the stories will answer numerous questions fans have been asking.
Jemisin is a sci-fi writer who has been nominated for the Hugo Award as well as the Nebula Award for her debut work, “The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms”. The creative director of the Mass Effect series (Mac Walters) will be writing the fourth book, though the second and third do not have authors attached to them at this time. The authors and titles of these novels, however, are yet to be announced.
Well, EA, BioWare and Titan Books have joined hands to publish a Mass Effect novel that will complete the job. That novel will release March 2018.
Initially, Andromeda was supposed to be rolled out in 2016. This statement was released prior to the game’s delay to 2017, however, so these dates are likely liable to change.
That certainly does make sense- for good or for bad, Bioware had finished telling the story that they had wanted to tell, and that necessitated a narrative departure with the next game in the series.
Yes, we know. Mass Effect 4 Andromeda will start on a totally new adventure that surrounds a brand new protagonist. Their trailer shared a lot of first looks at the races and landscapes you’ll explore in Andromeda, but what was truly nice to see came at the conclusion: the reveal of a female lead character named Ryder.
