This smartphone’s battery can last up to 15 days
Experts remain skeptical however regarding the mind-blowing technical specifications related to battery life, especially given the fact that most smartphones nowadays can only function for a day or two before needing to be connected to a power source.
Although the huge battery by itself is enough to impress possible customers, the K10000 doesn’t stop here. Its K10000 smartphone can last up to 15 days of use on a single charge, and is now available to pre-order.
A new smartphone can keep running for up to 15 days on a single charge, according to the manufacturer. While most of the rest of the specs are in line with the market, the battery on the OUKITEL K10000 is significantly disproportionate.
For starters, the K10000 is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM, and features a 720p 5.5-inch display (at least it’s an IPS display). Around back in an 8-megapixel camera; a 2-megapixel shooter up front handles video calls and selfie duties.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G.
Tech site Engadget said: “Think of this more as an enormous battery with a phone attached”. However, if a 3,000-mAH battery lasts a day and a half on average, presumably a 10,000-mAh battery would run down after about five days of comparable use. It seems that different phones have different battery runtimes depending on what other features/components they have, e.g., the Galaxy S6 Active.
We contacted Jan Dawson, chief analyst at Jackdaw Research, to get his thoughts on the new phone.
The phone can even be used to charge other devices.
Those who are interested in buying the latest Oukitel K1000 after all must know that the handset comes with the price tag of $239.99, and can be pre-ordered now, shipping having been scheduled to begin on January 21, 2016.
