Cheekati Rajyam marks the directorial debut of Rajesh M Selva, who has worked on the film for more than seven years. The first movie in which Trisha and Kamal Haasan was Manmadha Banam and this movie titled as Manmadha Ambu in Tamil.
The veteran actor has also starred in a lot of remakes in his illustrious career, including 2015 film Paapanasam. The film’s Tamil version Thoonga Vanam released today.

Trisha has bagged a meaty role in this Kamal Haasan starrer. She plays a cop and has participated in a fight sequence involving Kamal Haasan in the movie. The movie has Trisha Krishnan as the female lead and Prakash Raj as the negative lead.
She won the Filmfare award for best Telugu actress three times and has been nominated for the Tamil equivalent in the same category thrice. Although the audience had taken the movie to their heart as it was very good.
The scene of action keeps shifting from the party floor, to the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the billiards room and Vital Rao’s office. Soon, Diwakar gets a call from drug lord Vittal Rao( Prakash Raj), who informs him that he has kidnapped his son and would return him only when he returns his cocaine bag.
