Thousands Arrive For Rene Angelil’s Funeral
Celine Dion has vowed to never marry again after burying her husband, Rene Angelil, who recently passed away.
The archbishop of Montreal presided over them at the funeral, while the couple’s 17 year old son Rene-Charles gave a eulogy.

Dion was accompanied by Angelil’s sons Patrick and Jean-Pierre, standing next to her late husband’s open casket.
Hundreds of people are streaming into Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica this afternoon for Rene Angelil’s funeral.
Couillard has announced the flag at the legislature will fly at half-mast today.
At age 12, Dion had recorded a demo tape with her mother and sent it to Angelil.
“You are a tough act to follow… but I promise you here that we’re all going to live up to your standards”.
He said in front of the crowd, “I was lucky to be born into a family where there was a lot of love…”
One of those in line was Benoit Gendron, who said he has seen Dion in concert 192 times. “Je t’aime papa (I love you dad)”. Dion told fans on her Twitter feed that anyone around the globe will be able to take part in his state funeral and provided the link.
Dion, 47, arrived in a private vehicle with her eldest son, Rene-Charles, 14, and her twin sons, Nelson and Eddie, both 5.
As the clock struck 3:20 p.m. Dion’s french-language love song “Trois Heures Vingt” – the first of four hits to play during the ceremony – filled the solemn space.
“I will continue to do my job as much as possible”, Dion told RTL according to chb44.com.
A celebration of his life will take place February 3 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
