Thousands say farewell to slain ‘Voice’ singer
“The Voice” star Christina Grimmie is laid to rest after a fan shot her to death at Orlando concert.
Hundreds of friends and fans stood in line for a memorial service for The Voice star Christina Grimmie on Friday, who was buried in her hometown in New Jersey a week after her tragic murder.
That’s the church Grimmie and her family attended before moving to southern California in 2012 to further her musical career.
He said: “This crowd has blessed me beyond words”.
Bud also spoke, saying, “There’s this very big hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away. I know I am going to see her again”.
Grimmie’s mother Tina became overwhelmed with emotion in front of the crowd of fans, friends and loved ones.
“I always told her I loved her and to put God first”, said heartbroken Tina. “I was really mad, but when Christina went home to be with the Lord Jesus, I told him “I’m not mad”.
TMZ reports that police were called to two incidents involving Loibl, 27, over the past few years, including an altercation with his father’s fiancée in which she claimed he broke her wrist by slamming a door on her arm.

“Today is not just a day to mourn her, but today is a day to celebrate the life she had”, Brown continued, adding that Grimmie’s success has likewise inspired many others. “Her arms were open to them at all times”. She was attacked by 26-year-old Kevin James Loibl who then took his own life following a struggle with Grimmie’s brother.
The obituary also said she recently raised $250,000 for the Humane Society of the United States.
He continued, “She is not going to be hurting. Christina, I know that you’re listening and we love you”.
“I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that”.
“I don’t have too much to say”.
