Thousands take part in Memory Walk for dementia
Come out and support the annual Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society 3K walk, poker run and health fair Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.in Tonaquint Park, 1851 S. Dixie Drive, in St. George.

Dementia already affects some 850,000 people in Britain, and a total of 35.6 million worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.
Despite these limitations, Jamie thinks that the charity does a fantastic job, especially given the fact that charities that champion other causes hold a much more prominent position in the national limelight.

That is beginning to get the attention of our legislators, so if we think we have problems now with 5 million people; the amount of money that is spent on caring for people with this disease which is continuing to grow is infectious”. In India ARDSI with chapters in Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Greater Mumbai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Mysore, Mumbai, Pathanamthitta, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram has been working closely with families affected by Alzheimer’s disease for last many years.
The event is expected to raise £100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society and will fund services such as Dementia Cafes and Singing for the Brain groups on Wearside and to boost research.
The school was one of 26 finalists to attend the ceremony, which was hosted by TV personality Angela Rippon, OBE, who is an Alzheimer’s Society ambassador.
