The record jackpot will be split by tickets sold in California, Florida and Tennessee. The three winners will rake in an eye-watering $528.8 million each, NBC News said, although the taxman will soon come calling. According to the director, they are unsure if the winning ticket was one of the tickets purchased by Rechnitz or if she bought it herself.
No details were immediately available about the Florida victor.
“Hopefully, they’re out there getting the best legal and financial adviser they can find before they come in and claim that wonderful prize”, Grief said.
Other winning $1 million Powerball tickets were sold across the country. including, locally, an Amoco station on Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights, Maryland, and a 7-Eleven on Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Maryland, officials said.
The winning ticket in Melbourne Beach was sold at a Publix grocery store.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 4-8-19-27-34-10.
Lottery official say winning tickets were sold California, Florida and Tennessee, but don’t be disappointed, there were some big winners in Maryland as well.
And in Paducah, Kentucky, 11 elementary school workers shared a $1 million jackpot, NBC affiliate WPSD reported.
