Three Killed In West Columbus Shooting; Suspect Shot By Police

The child was taken to the city’s Children’s Hospital.

The suspect was struck by officers outside the home.

Another person in the home was not shot and has been speaking with police about what happened in the home.

A Columbus police spokesman says three officers shot suspect Barry Kirk after a short chase outdoors near the home where the shooting happened. One of the victims transported was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Sgt. Rich Weiner identified the dead as 31-year-old John Anderson II, 30-year-old Christina Anderson and their son, 7-year-old Landon Anderson.

Police said a woman called 911 around 5.10pm to report that her husband had been shot by an intruder who was still inside their home.
