Three seriously injured in Greyhound crash
97 near Hixon when the bus flipped around 8 a.m.in icy road conditions and came to rest on its side alongside the highway.
The bus was travelling northbound on its way to Prince George from Kamloops when it left the highway.
There were eight passengers on board at the time of the accident, plus on driver.
Greyhound Canada spokeswoman Lanesha Gipson said the company was trying to gather information about the crash.
Jonathan Dyck with the Northern Health Authority says the University Hospital of Northern B.C.in Prince George has received some patients and more are en route.
Reports at scene indicated that nine people were taken to hospital; three with serious, but non-life threatening injuries and six with minor injuries.
A joint investigative team was attempting to determine exactly what caused the bus to leave the road.
He said it was snowing moderately when he arrived at the scene. Dozens of the 56 people on the bus were injured, with some in critical condition.
