Three shot in Troy: Two police officers stable, suspect dead
– A man was killed and two Troy police officers were wounded in a shootout linked to an attempted carjacking by gun last night in Troy.
Police say it all started with an attempted carjacking involving 39 year-old Thaddeus Faison. Faison was hit multiple times.
Police say Faison then turned his attention to Officer Josh Comitale. They say he was no stranger to police and has a violent criminal past.
Tedesco said he is hopeful both officers will fully recover.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators/Technicians are still processing the scene at this time.
As the backup officer, Officer Chad Klein, came into the area, the suspect began to flee, according to police.

One officer was hit in the upper torso and the other in the leg, according to DeWolf, who said the wounds were not considered to be life-threatening. They are being treated at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Their conditions of all those shot were not immediately known.
Troy City Council President Rodney Wiltshire said the council wants to help secure more funds for public safety in the city budget. Many local Agencies and the NYSP assisted the Troy Police Department while we conduct this investigation. Tedesco said the area could be blocked for a couple of days.
A multiple block area has been taped off as police continue to investigate the incident.
