Three things to watch for on Super Tuesday
A day when more than a dozen USA states hold their primaries and caucuses, putting more delegates at stake in the Democratic and Republican Party than any other day of the year.
Forty-one percent of Virginia voters said in the most recent poll they plan to cast ballots in the Democratic primary Tuesday, compared with 29% who plan to vote in the GOP primary. The GOP also will hold caucuses in Alaska and Wyoming; Democrats in American Samoa. She needs 2,383 delegates to lock up the nomination. “A “win” is winning Texas”, said Cruz.
The Republican candidates will battle over 49 delegates. Trump said he had not understood the interviewer who first raised the question about Duke and other white supremacists, and he did later repudiate him.
For Ohio governor John Kasich, Super Tuesday is only about weathering the storm until the MI primary on March 8 where he expects to win.

In her victory speech, the former secretary of state aimed a dig at Donald Trump, slamming his campaign slogan: “Despite what you hear, we don’t need to make America great again”. “We’ve got about two weeks to find out whether he’s going to continue his juggernaut or whether somebody else in going to pull into the pole position”.
“If Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee, my expectation is that I will look for some third candidate – a conservative option, a Constitutionalist”, Senator Sasse said in an open letter on Facebook.

The idea of Super Tuesday was born in 1984. She scored a lopsided victory in SC the day before, fueled by a huge advantage among African-Americans, a key Democratic constituency that will also play a dominant role in several Super Tuesday states. Marco Rubio were close behind, with 23 points each.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen.
While Cruz has a solid lead in Texas, his make-or-break moment comes Tuesday. Cruz should be able to win his home state of Texas, though polling is all over the map in the Lone Star State. “Rubio doesn’t doesn’t have to win, but Cruz has to”.
Mr Kasich has said he intends to keep campaigning at least until his home state votes on March 15. After that date, states will begin assigning delegates on a winner-take-all basis.
For Republicans, 595 delegates are at stake in 11 states.
Regardless, there’s a long way to go for candidates in either party to reach the threshold to clinch the nomination.
