Three year old dies in parked vehicle
The father ran to his SUV but the child was by then not responding.
Dallas police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old child left in a vehicle outside a church parking lot Sunday in East Dallas.
The family was participating in an afternoon service at the Rehoboth Praise Assembly; however, they were seated in separate groups.
“We didn’t know. We didn’t see”.
Dallas Police crime scene investigators were at the scene late Sunday afternoon processing a 2006 Honda Pilot that a church member says the child was left in. When they reunited about 45 minutes later they realized they only had four kids and their youngest child was missing.
People in the family’s church community are now praying for them.
Om tells us it was a relative of the family who called for help after the father came back inside carrying his son. “He was grabbing his kid, and the kid would not move, and, ‘I need somebody help, call the police, ‘” Om said. “I’m really upset for him, the family”.
Police have released few details about the case, but confirmed it was an active investigation.
A toddler died inside a scorching hot vehicle after his parents apparently forgot about him while attending a church service.
The National Weather Service says the high in Dallas on Sunday was 100 degrees.
