Thursday Night Football Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints Start Time, Odds
From what I’ve seen so far, they will lose this game by a large margin but that’s just my opinion.
Another big change for the Falcons this year is the fact that they have a running game. Freeman is averaging an impressive 4.4 yards per carry, and he has the second most catches on the team. The secondary will have a tough time matching up with Julio Jones, who is arguably the best deep threat in the league. (NFL, NBA, MLB, National Hockey League and NCAA) Vernon Croy has made his living wagering on sports since 1992 and has been one of the top handicappers in the industry for more than 15 years. The only winning teams on the Falcons schedule are the Carolina Panthers (twice) and Indianapolis Colts, plus the Minnesota Vikings are.500.
Prediction: Eventually, it’ll be back to the reality for the Falcons at a few point of this season, but I don’t think the Saints will pull off that win they need.
Next week the Falcons will take on the Tennessee Titans.
The only real downside for the Saints was the kicking of Zach Hocker. Last week they suffered a humiliating 39-17 loss in Philadelphia, allowing the Eagles 34 first downs – and the Eagles didn’t even reach third down on 30 of them. This defense is absolutely bad. He’s taken opponents by surprise every week and on Thursday, he did it again against the Saints, He had over 100 yards and a touchdown of 25 yards. Brees, who missed a game earlier this year due to an injury, enters the TNF game with 65 fantasy football points in four games and six touchdown passes.
Watson hasn’t been a key member of the Saints passing attack as he has not had a game with more than four receptions or more than 42 yards.
Such an fantastic play, but it also carries a good bit of significance.
They’re down, but not out just yet.
The Ravens have traveled an interesting road to their 1-4 start. Clearly this is a must win game for Sean Payton. The game is scheduled for an 8:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS and the NFL Network. The game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Gleason, a backup defensive back who retired in 2008 and has been battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease) for several years, was at the game Thursday night and watched as a very similar play unfurled before him.
The biggest concern for the Falcons might be if the offensive line can continue to stay in rhythm with James Stone stepping in at center for the injured Mike Person (ankle).
The Falcons are going to get a chance, but the probability of them being able to beat the Green Bay Packers or Arizona Cardinals seems extremely slim.
