And it’s not the first time this balloon has made the headlines. She told the MailOnline: ‘Myself and my husband (Paul Dopson) have been balloon pilots for over 10 years and we have a strong interest in Tibet.
Added Mr Flanaghan: “We love the balloon fiesta at St Peter’s Hospice and we always have a lot to do with it. It’s one of the best events Bristol has to offer and this was a very exciting start to the weekend”.
‘We had 11 Tibetans who live in the area come along to see it and they got inside for pictures.

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to flock to the four-day event, with mass ascents, nightglows and events happening throughout.
That was close… A hot air balloon at the Bristol global Balloon Fiesta narrowly missed an office building early on Friday morning. Balloons soar from the Ashton Court estate at dawn and dusk, taking in glorious views of the city including the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
The fuel burner was also used during landing, but organisers said that in total just five litres of propane were used during the 25-minute flight, less than a tenth of the amount that would have been required by a normal fuel-powered balloon.
A minion-themed balloon at the fiesta. The Power Rangers balloons feature the red and pink Mighty Morphin Power Rangers helmets.
It followed last night’s spectacular night glow – where pilots lit up the evening by igniting their balloons flames to music.
