Tim Cook says Apple is considering bringing its software services to Android

By releasing Apple Music on Android, the company probably opened the doors for more porting. The update is also part of the company’s fulfillment of the demand by customers.

This week, Apple Music’s Android app received an update that will likely never make its way to the music streaming platform’s iOS iteration; Support for saving music to an SD card.

TheVerge report said, don’t ever say Apple isn’t willing to play to Android’s strengths. Apple Music has been one of the most prominent Apple services in recent times, and has been giving a major threat to existing streaming services such as Spotify who have been dominating the markets for a long time.

If Apple does begin offering more of its services on the Android platform, it will be following in the footsteps of Google and Microsoft, which already offer numerous services across platforms beyond their own Android and Windows operating systems.

The update also includes a full schedule for Beats 1 Radio, so you can keep tabs on which shows you want to listen to.

Then there’s the whole Move to iOS thing – the app and the initiative, that is.

According to anonymous sources at the event, Cook said that launch of Apple Music on Android was a way of “testing the waters” to see if there was a potential to further expand its services division on Android. Making such iOS services work effectively and securely on Android, however, could be fraught with complications.
