Tim Kaine Did His Best Donald Trump Impression At The DNC
Kean, who chaired the federal 9/11 commission, skipped this year’s Republican National Convention, the first time he’s done that since he became involved in politics, because he disagreed with Trump on too many issues. “And I tell ya, if any of you are looking for that party of Lincoln, we’ve got a home for you right here in the Democratic Party”.
Democrats gathered in Philadelphia formally selected Tim Kaine as their USA vice-presidential candidate on Wednesday, completing the party’s ticket for the November election.
Hillary Clinton’s decision to pick the Virginia senator as her running mate has riled Bernie Sanders’ supporters at the convention, many of whom have blasted his past support of abortion restrictions, easing bank
restrictions and trade pacts like the Trans-Pacific partnership. Tim Kaine, meanwhile, touched on healthcare issues, including the high cost of prescription drugs, how Hillary worked to provide care to first responders after the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attack and her efforts improve the lives of children and families. Hinojosa said he even personally sent a text message to Kaine congratulating him on being selected as Hillary Clinton’s running mate.
And Kaine said Trump University, which is funded by the Republican presidential nominee, has scammed many students out of education.
“Do all the good you can and serve one another”, Kaine said. “They respect you enough to tell you how they will get things done”, Kaine said.
Kaine put an exclamation point on it by pointing out that unlike other presidential contenders in the past, Trump has refused to release his tax returns. “Donald Trump’s whole career says you better not”, Kaine said. Kaine, a moderate Democratic senator from Virginia, has backed restrictions on abortion. And with Hillary, it’s accomplishment – she delivers’.
“By the way, does anyone here believe that Donald Trump’s been paying his fair share of taxes?”, asked Kaine. “You know who I don’t trust?”. He appealed to voters and said, “for the sake of our Constitution, for the sake of the sanctity of life, for the sake of the sanctity of our Second Amendment and all our God-given liberties” they should support Trump.
