Tim Kaine gets a warm homecoming in Richmond

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager accuses Russian Federation of leaking emails on goal from the Democratic National Committee to help Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election.

That’s over 35 million people listening. At the very least, they would not provide additional distractions to the campaign.

During the time that Bill Clinton was president from 1993 to 2001, Kaine was first a city council member in Richmond and then mayor of the city, according to The Washington Post. Their record is what we’re fighting against. “Now, he is going to change his tune, and I understand he is now going to say he is against TPP”.

“Let’s be clear, Tim Kaine is definitely a liberal”. Doesn’t he cut into Trump’s advantages in some of those areas? That caution has not always worked in her favor, politically speaking, but it is, without question, her defining trait.

Looking at Pence’s and Kaine’s lengthy records, the contrast is sharp. When he ran for governor in 2005, he hoped to continue a bipartisan approach, but Republicans in the legislature had no desire to cooperate with another Democrat, having helped the previous Democratic governor, Mark Warner, achieve high popularity through passage of his transportation program.

Last January, a DeMoines Register pollof likely Iowa caucus-goers found 91 percent of Republicans and 94 percent of Democrats unsatisfied or “mad as hell” about money in politics. And those are his highlights.

“He is qualified to step into this job and lead from Day One”.

His campaign literature promised, “Tim Kaine strongly supports the Second Amendment”.

“What happened with the choice of Tim Kaine was a slap in the face to Bernie Sanders and everybody – I was shocked”, Mr. Trump said.

As HuffPost blogger Miles Mogulescu wrote last month, “The Democratic Party has two, nearly equal wings: A centrist Clinton wing and a progressive Warren-Sanders wing”. Both men are substantive and low-key, but Pence is a staunch conservative, while Kaine is more liberal than his reputation in progressive circles suggests. “Philly fight?” he said in another tweet.

Not everyone is happy about Clinton’s choice of a center-left running mate, which runs the risk of alienating Sanders supporters on the party’s far left.

Sanders, who has endorsed Clinton, encouraged his supporters to vote for the ticket, saying the top priority in the November election is to defeat Trump.
