Time is running out for last-minute holiday shoppers

“I got the M&M’s here, so that’s good”, said shopper Larry Mclin.
Kenny Church was shopping with his five-year-old, Khalil.
“I’m just out getting some last minute things such as stocking stuffers and things like that and a couple last minute gifts I just thought of that my wife might like”, said Bobby Hensley of Huntington. “Also, seeing some stuff that we didn’t know was available so we chose to come to the store and see if we could snag it at the last minute”, said Lucid. Others said it was all about available funds.
“It’s just easier for me”, last minute shopper Calvin Patillar said.
“Because Friday, everybody’s waiting for that pay check that happens Friday”, says Columbus mom Nikita Cummings as she holds 18-month-old Paris.
Many families spent their Christmas Eve doing their last-minute shopping.
You may have finished your Christmas shopping weeks ago, but some procrastinators were purchasing last-minute gifts Thursday, the day before the holiday. But for those last minute shoppers, their plans for Christmas Eve is as follows.
It’s nearly like a game at this point, with the clock ticking down and shoppers strategizing on the best way to get the best gift, the best parking spot and make the best time for their shopping trip.
For Tosha Jones and her friends, it’s a chance to wrap it all up.
Lori Curtis admitted the same, “We kind of waited till the very last minute, but it worked out for me”. “I am the worst”, said Cheryl Bell.
“The store’s a little hectic but no complaints”, Kerry Hanes said.
Wal-Mart: Open Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. and closed Christmas Day.
Lines were seemingly part of the Christmas decor, with the Utah Highway Patrol performing crowd control at various state liquor stores leading up to the holiday weekend.
