Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Bring Back Sarah Palin & 2008 Hillary To SNL

While appearing on “Saturday Night Live”, Fey and Schumer were filmed singing about the “dope” women (and men) in their lives, with references to their own nannies and even their shared gynaecologist…

The resulting sketch was the kind of humor that’s marked Fey and Poehler’s careers, the comedy found in the sometimes ridiculous expectations of women.

Elsewhere on the show, the duo poked fun at Hilary Clinton’s run for president of the United States and they hosted a fake dating show called “Meet Your Second Wife”.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed two songs as well as the finale number with Paul McCartney.

After their parents inform them they’re selling their childhood home, siblings Katie (Fey) and Maura (Poehler) Ellis decide to go home to collect their childhood things.

Two actresses in a “40s-era lesbian movie are encouraged to give performances that are more like the ’70s-era sitcom, The Jeffersons“. The joke was that Poehler sang a vapid and meaningless song while Fey sang about Biblical events that were rather depressing.

“Amy Poehler and I have known each other for so long, we’ve both known Paula for so long, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Bobby Moynihan – all these people we’ve known for a really long time”, Tina explained. Can they host as a trio next time?
