Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to co-host SNL
Now the two are returning to their old stomping grounds: THR reports that Fey and Poehler will co-host SNL’s Christmas episode on December 19.
Poehler and Fey will reportedly co-host the show on December 19, with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band serving as the musical guest.
SNL also announced on Twitter that Ryan Gosling would be hosting the December 5 episode, while Chris Hemsworth would be on for December 12.
There are other known faces coming to host Saturday Night Live next month.
This will mark Gosling’s first time hosting and Hemsworth’s second (he first took the helm this past March).
Which December Saturday Night Live host has you the most excited?
Will Tina Fey, Amy Poehler co-host “Saturday Night Live”? The dynamic duo co-stars in their latest comedy Sisters, which hits theaters on December 18th, the day before their return to SNL. But it was Fey and Poehler’s names that first caught our eye, and we can’t wait to see them work their comedy magic on the Studio 8H stage again. After all, Robert Downey Jr. was a cast member once upon a time, but he hasn’t returned since 1996. Plus, they both have a lot of experience, having both worked on SNL for years and years before breaking big with their own TV and movie projects. The three episodes will air back-to-back.
She followed that up with an even better idea though: “Really, we should just do a movie with all the women of SNL and set it on the Isle of Lesbos”, Fey, who was on SNL from 1998 to 2006, said.
