Tina Fey: ‘My daughter’s on the naughty list’
Envisioning the First Daughters as ditzy twenty-somethings who still sleep with stuffed animals in twin beds and speak in a “top secret twin language” that stumps their dad, Fey and Poehler took the opportunity to bust out their version of a Texas twang.
The two officially began working together in television at SNL in 2001, where Fey was head writer and co-anchor of Weekend Update and Poehler became a cast member.
Shouting out increasingly unrelated words that describe what viewers can expect from this week’s episode, Fey and Poehler yell, “fun”, “celebration”, “live”, “jokes”, “Bruce”, “comedy” and “adventure”. “Soon, the sound of candy hitting the ground is heard as Thompson sports an embarrassed expression & states sheepishly, “I got a little candy.”RELATED VIDEO: What Can Fans Anticipate to See When Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Host SNL?”.
In the amusing new promos, the three comedians stand outside of 30 Rockefeller Center as they tease their upcoming duel hosting gig with musical guests Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
“It is the result of a long, legal battle between us”, they said at the same time. With these two as co-hosts, it should be a loose, fun time. Later, Fey shared her reaction to meeting Republican candidate Donald Trump face to face and chatted about her new comedy SISTERS.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturday at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
