Tina Fey returns as Sarah Palin on ‘SNL,’ Oscars parodied
Everyone seemed to love Tina Fey’s reprise of her infamous Sarah Palin impersonation on last week’s “Saturday Night Live”.
“I hope nobody’s allergic to nuts, because we got a big one here”, he adds.
Sarah Palin is back in the spotlight after recently endorsing Donald Trump for president. These were just among the things she said that got a lot of applause from the crowd.
Then, Fey makes an allusion to the Black Lives Matter movement, mixing in a joke about Palin’s son, Track, who was recently arrested during a domestic dispute.
The “SNL” sketches were later found to have negatively impacted upon young people’s impression of the Republican ticket that year.
The sketch drew from Palin’s actual endorsement speech last week – which, let’s face it, didn’t have to be changed very much to be 100 percent hysterical. You farmers and charmers. “And I belong in a cabinet ’cause I’m full of spice and I got a great rack!”
“I think it went to a good home”, Nyren says, “she seemed really excited about it”.
Palin also missed a golden opportunity to rhyme “cradle” with “ladle” by tossing the utensil into her word salad when she mentioned cooks.
Actor Rob Lowe tweeted about Tina Fey’s Palin skid: “Tina Fey doing Palin on SNL is one of the reasons for living”. “But this is blue, even for me”.
Real Palin: “Looking around at all of you, you hardworking Iowa families”.
However, it soon became obvious that Palin had ulterior motives for her endorsement. That plan was thrown out the window on Tuesday when Palin shocked the political world by being the latest high profiled name to land on “Team Trump”. They’re saying Trump and his, uh, Trumpeters are right wingin’, bitter clingin’, proud clingers of our guns.
