Titanfall 2 & Mass Effect Andromeda to release before April 2017
According to EA’s Q3 financial report, the company are planning to release a new, as-of-yet untitled DICE-developed Battlefield game by the holidays. Which was launched late a year ago to coincide with the release of the new Star Wars movie which has also broken box office records around the world.
EA stated that, “In Q1, we’ll begin with the creative and innovative Mirror’s Edge Catalyst from DICE launching in May”.
Looks like EA is in for a busy year, because we’re getting the new Mass Effect, Titanfall, and Battlefield games sooner than you might’ve thought.
Since it was first confirmed a year ago, we’ve heard nearly nothing about Titanfall 2 besides the fact that, you know, it exists.
EA always manages to have a pretty croweded line-up every year thanks to a steady stream of annual titles that bolster their profits every single time.
From what we have seen from game developers now, even if the game is scheduled to be released in October, they might end up delaying it. Right now, our bet is that the game will only be arriving in 2017.
“It’s a little early to talk about Titanfall at this juncture”, Wilson said.
EA’s financial year runs from April 1st 2016 until March 31 2017, so the mention of Mass Effect Andromeda launching “later in the fiscal year” could mean that we won’t get our hands on BioWare‘s sci-fi RPG until after Christmas.
“Looking ahead to FY2017…”
