Titans blow another double-digit lead, lose 14-13 to Bills
What Taylor did succeed in, though, is running right over one of the Titans coaches on the sideline after being pushed out of bounds.
Though few would compare him to Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl quarterback Andrew Luck, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor accomplished a feat similar to Luck’s after facing a double-digit deficit.
Taylor ran for 76 yards as the 3-2 Bills snapped a five-game skid against Tennessee.

Wright had three catches for 29 yards and was credited as the target on three other throws during Sunday’s game.
“It was a team loss”, Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan said. Whatever you wish to call it, the last time the Buffalo Bills were in the playoffs, was January 8, 2000 when they faced off against the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Wildcard game. The frustration started bubbling over for a franchise that now hasn’t won on its own field in a year.
The Dolphins (1-3) have lost three straight. Mariota may be a rookie, but he proved winning the Heisman Trophy at Oregon that he can run a fast-paced, uptempo attack and move the chains if coach Ken Whisenhunt wants to speed up the Titans. “We’re 1-3 after four games and we feel like we’re a better football team than that”. The quarterback nicknamed “T-Mobile” took off down the middle of the field, slipping out of tackles and sidestepping defenders on his way to the Titans’ 26-yard line, a 26-yard gain.
The Titans shutout the Bills in the first half, the first time since September 13, 2011 that Tennessee held an opponents scoreless in the first half of a game. But all the Bills managed was a 21-yard field goal by kicker Ryan Succop with 14:09 left in the half. The Bills mustered just 51 yards in the first half, and Taylor completed only 6-of-13 passes for 36 yards, while being sacked twice. Rex Ryan said the Titans’ game was probably Henderson’s worst of the season, and his minus-3.7 grade from Pro Football Focus would seem to indicate a similar sentiment.
“I’m beyond frustrated”, Wright said, via the Tennessean. “There’s no magic formula, we’ve got to make a play”. “We just have to get over the hump”.
Stephon Gilmore intercepted Marcus Mariota’s pass with 1:32 left to seal the win. Tyrod Taylor Taylor threw for 274 yards and one touchdown to lead the Bills. He also became the fifth quarterback since 1960 – and second since 1966 – to have at least 100 yards passing, 70 yards rushing and a reception in the same game.
But the Buffalo offense finally found a rhythm, creating big plays behind the gritty, elusive Taylor, who took advantage of a defense that opted not to deploy a spy, which might have kept him from scrambling. But after one hand-off, the gritty Taylor was back in action, and wound up lofting a lovely 46-yard pass to Chris Hogan to give Buffalo a first down at the Titans 7. Shady McCoy and Karlos Williams have already both been ruled out, while Sammy Watkins’ calf injury will make him a game-time decision. Cierre Wood had two rushes before suffering a knee injury.
I know it is still early in the season, but this is as close to a must-win game that the Bills are going to have.
