TN officer charged in murder of infant son
A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation official says a Paris, Tenn., police officer whose almost 3-month-old son died earlier this month has been charged with murder.
Just more than two weeks after the death of 3-month-old Gunner Page, his father is arrested and charged with murder.
On September 2, at the request of 24 District Attorney General Matthew Stowe, TBI special agents began investigating the cause of life-threatening injuries sustained by nearly three-month-old Gunner Page at his family’s home in Puryear. The TBI says the investigation continues with help from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Paris, TN is 60 miles west of Clarksville.
Besides the first-degree murder charge against the Paris cop, the officer is also facing one count of aggravated child abuse.
Page was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Henry County Jail, and subsequently taken to the Carroll County Jail.
Paris police have not commented on whether Chris Page is still being paid as an officer.
