Toddler finds gun, shoots grandma

According to a report from The Herald, the shooting happened Sunday afternoon in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

She defended herself, saying: “This mistake could have happened to anyone”.

Police said that revolver did not have a safety. They were coming down the road and had been in the vehicle only five minutes. That’s when she told him she’d been hit by the bullet in the back. The little boy found an unlocked gun in the back pocket of the front seat, and was able to discharge the weapon, shooting his grandmother in the back.

“He thought he was playing”.

The woman told police she was in the process of leaving the Arby’s off Heckle Boulevard Tuesday morning when the man jumped out of the bushes and into her SUV, according to a police report.
