Tom Brady expresses empathy, support for Peyton Manning
His former team, the Colts, said: “We’ve been made aware of the recent Al Jazeera report concerning Peyton Manning and find it utterly ridiculous”. Nobody has more respect for Peyton than I do, and everything he’s accomplished. Someone who worked there said they had been there before.
Al Jazeera’s report claims Manning received HGH from the Indianapolis anti-aging clinic in 2011.
The report cited Charlie Sly.
Wada also described the allegations, which Manning dismissed as “complete garbage”, as “very concerning”.
Mr. Sly, a former pharmacy intern, posted a video on YouTube recanting the allegations, saying that he had been “trying to pull one over on Collins to see if he had any idea of what he was talking about”. Truthfully, I don’t put much stock into anything (that’s being reported)… Manning, who joined the Broncos in 2012, has been sidelined since November 15 by a left foot injury.
“For the record, I have never used HGH”. “I would emphasize that Mr. Sly was never an employee of the Guyer Institute and his brief, three-month internship occurred in 2013 during which time Peyton was not even being treated or present in the office”.
New England Patriots quarterback knows a thing or two about being caught in the middle of a controversy.
The Al Jazeera documentary linked players from the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) with performance-enhancing drugs.
“I don’t believe it because Peyton is like a really good guy, but I wouldn’t be surprised either”, said Misha King.
It alleges steroids and other drugs were shipped to Manning’s home in his wife’s name in 2011, while the athlete was recovering from a broken neck; Manning told ESPN hard work and time helped him recover after four neck surgeries.
To win a potential defamation case, Manning would have to prove not only that the allegations are false, but because he is a public figure, that Al Jazeera knew the allegations were false, and that he suffered damages as a result of the allegations.
Tom Brady was quizzed during his weekly appearance on WEEI in Boston this morning, and the conversation inevitably wandered onto Peyton Manning’s front porch, and the HGH shipment that did or did not appear there. “Those are always challenging times, but he’s a tough guy”. “I’m just disgusted” said Manning.
Meanwhile, Manning has also responded to the reports, calling them absolutely false. In other words, he’s a friend, and he’s been good to me.
