Tom Brady Thinks Peyton Manning only has 2 more Years left
In it, Brady responded to a childhood friend, Kevin Brady (no relation), who brought up a Grantland article comparing the Patriots quarterback to his Broncos counterpart and longstanding professional rival.
As balance, Brady did also have an email where he’s asked by Francesco Aquilini, a friend who happens to own the Canucks of the National Hockey League, to come by and talk to the players and coaches about nutrition and physical preparation, which he duly accepts.
We’ve always known Tom Brady is competitive on the field. This goes on a while, when finally Brady asks for a white cover and is told that the company has no white covers. I’ve got another 7 or 8 years left.
Brady’s response and overall thoughts on the rivalry were rather succinct. He nearly literally limped through Denver’s final six games, including a desultory playoff loss to the Colts that sparked immediate speculation about whether he would, or should, retire.
The Patriots visit the Broncos in Week 12 this year. He is, without a doubt, the more accomplished of the two quarterbacks.
[The cast of “Deadliest Catch” did not react well to the Seahawks’ Super Bowl loss to the Patriots]. However, now that it has been released, football fans have a better feel for what Brady really thinks about Peyton, not to mention himself.
“We are some hard working grinders beav”, Brady wrote.
It’s certainly not the most inflammatory statement of all time, but it’s the type of comment that Brady nearly never makes publicly, so as not to provide any bulletin-board material for the other team.
After that drubbing, Brady received an email (that could honestly double as a sports radio hot take) from Jay Flannelly where Flannelly remarked that Manning “needs things flawless to succeed” (presumably unlike Tom Brady, who definitely doesn’t need his footballs prepared a certain way on game day or anything like that) and Brady didn’t argue with Flannelly’s conclusions. “Our best is still ahead of us”, ESPN has learned.
