Tom Hardy: Hugh Jackman thinks actor would be a great ‘Wolverine’
One of the ideal candidates to take on the challenge would more likely be Tom Hardy, who has been mentioned by Jackman himself in a recent press conference held for his latest film “Pan“.
After years of playing the claw wielding mutant, ‘Wolverine’, Hugh Jackman would be hanging his claws, and he has a successor in mind.
“I was like, ‘Ah, I don’t think it’s the right time, ‘” he told the Australian news program “The Project”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Characters in story could be changed for instance a blind Hawkeye could be replaced by a blind Scott Summers/Cyclops to which his visor has been destroyed forcing him to close his eyes all that time and he will likely fight other power house adversary like Blob instead of the Hulk. I’ve just got to let you know my dad is nothing like Wolverine. “I’m forever grateful to Bryan [Singer] actually for giving me a shot and that’d be nice for that to happen to someone else”.
Jackman recently spoke with Collider about his ambitions for the character stating, “I’ll be really honest with you, the actual script in its full form we’re up to about Page 60”.

Hugh Jackman first teased “Wolverine 3’s” plot at the San Diego Comic Con several months ago, hinting it could be based on the same storyline created by comic book writers Mark Miller and Steve McNiven. Although Jackman also confessed that he would like to see a new and younger actor play the role. The films are slated for May, 2016 and March, 2017 release respectively.
