Tony Hawk 5 patch is bigger than game

But it’s rare to find an update bigger than the game it’s supporting.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is available from today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a few gamers found something that’s not working properly with the new game in the series.

Such a large day one patch (as reported by The Games Cabin) could be seen as another worrying sign, but large release-day updates are fairly common practice now and isn’t really grounds for concern.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 releases today, September 29, 2015, in North America, and October 2, 2015 across Europe. That’s actually a lot bigger than main 4.6GB game file, and it’s going to keep your internet connection busy for a while longer than you might have expected. Activision recently revealed the full list of songs set to form the soundtrack of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.

However, it may be even better to wait for our review – which will arrive post-launch when review copies are available.
