Other than that, his motivations as the villain in the movie aren’t very clear. So that leaves us with two possibilities: “Anakin flashback scene(s) or he is resurrected – from the dead or as a clone – by Kylo Ren, who is obsessed with Darth Vader“.

We will have to wait to see if Hayden wields the red lightsaber.

As much as this new movie is about bringing back old characters that we love to the big screen, it’s about introducing new ones and broadening the horizon of Star Wars, and bringing back Darth Vader wouldn’t be the best way to achieve that.
