Top Gun: Tom Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer tease about sequel

“Top Gun 2” is still happening and producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that he’s already talking with the film’s star, Tom Cruise, about the sequel.

Bruckheimer noted even in light of Scott’s tragic death, executives behind Top Gun 2 didn’t give up on making the film.

In a post on Twitter, Bruckheimer told his followers that he recently discussed the details of the follow-up movie in New Orleans with Tom Cruise and accordinf to CelebrityInsder

It is being said that the fans have been eagerly waiting for the sequel to the 1986 classic starring Cruise and Kelly McGillis for years.

And Top Gun fans will be elated to learn the sequel to the Oscar-winning film is indeed in motion, despite rumours the project may have been shelved because it is taking so long to produce. “Justin Marks is writing the screenplay right now”.

Maverick’s nemesis – Lt. Tom “Iceman” Kazansky – is played by Val Kilmer, who is also expected to reprise his role.

Bruckheimer posted a photo on Twitter yesterday of the both of them and teased plans for the highly anticipated sequel.
