Carly Fiorina, the newly-minted star of the Republican presidential field Thursday, still finds that a woman has a special issue to confront when seeking the White House. The other candidates were much more prepared to attack him this time around, and it showed during the debate. Basically-disappointingly-the majority of the candidates expect our next president to be a man. His early, random shots at Rand Paul came from out of nowhere.
But he said he thinks the race is approaching a point where more candidates will leave the race, and it will become easier to see who has the attention worthy of being on the main debate stage. The dynamic – not quite the same as the first debate. Rand Paul, an attack that Trump appeared to wanted to get to right away.
Responding to Trump’s past comment, “Look at that face! But somehow we still spend a lot of time talking about women’s appearance instead of their qualifications”, she said.
“I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr Trump said“, Fiorina said, drawing applause at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Actually a couple of (candidates) came up and said, ‘you know what Donald-can I hit you so that I can get a little bit more time?’ because some of these guys … Meanwhile, the notoriously outspoken Trump had nothing snarky to say in response. She was showing that she was warm and amusing and likable, and Fallon put on a blond wig and pretended to be Donald Trump and give her some advice.
Speaking after the debate, Fiorina proved she is even more anxious to take on the Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, saying her track record, on Benghazi, on email, on her serve, is one of lies.
It wasn’t exactly an “I didn’t inhale” moment, but still quite the admission from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. That was my job, to get along with people.
“But I was involved with virtually every question”, Trump said.
“No – the simple fact is.”, said Bush.
Trump did not dispute the man’s assertions and said he’d heard others raise the issue.
Although crowded, the debate wasn’t all tough talk. Marco Rubio with six percent. I would bet that Christie was very pleased with how the debate turned out for him; he needs a break out. Fifteen Republican presidential candidates are participating in the second set of Republican presidential debates.
The candidates from both debates took a moment to pose in front of President Ronald Reagan’s plane, hoping to follow his footsteps.
On At This Hour, Spicer said RNC leaders have not met with CNBC to discuss debate details, yet, and CNBC hasn’t revealed the debate criteria, which it officially gets to set.
