One of the more interesting and useful features of Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana is that you can activate here with your voice without touching your phone or laptop. You can still enact Cortana by using the Windows Key + S keyboard command.

All sorts of requests are entertained, such as getting the weather report, composing an email, looking up long-lost files, multitasking and what-not.

Among the biggest highlights of Windows 10 is the new internet browser called Edge, which is apparently more than a hundred times faster than Chrome, as well as Cortana, the digital assistant.

Users can access the assistance by uttering: “Hey Cortana”, but the button is much more viable in public places. Once the Search window opens, make your way to Notebook; the icon should be present on the left of your screen.

If you choose Hidden, Cortana disappears completely from the taskbar, but she’s still active in the background. Like we said it is a Bluetooth button so it will have no issues connecting with your laptop, PC (if you have Bluetooth), or even your mobile device.

Once Cortana is disabled, you should see an option that reads “Search online and include web results”.

While Windows 10 marks Cortana’s arrival on the desktop, Microsoft’s natural language processing personal assistant is missing a button, at least according to Los Angeles-based accessory manufacturer Satechi. Look out for an update on your system.
