Toronto Won’t Bid for 2024 Olympics
The Pan Am/Parapan Am Games proved our ability to host a major worldwide sporting event and I think that’s a credit to the people of Toronto showcasing our diversity and the way we live together, which is a model for the rest of the world.
The deadline for cities to register their interest with the global Olympic Committee is on Tuesday, with the winning city to be chosen in 2017.
“What we see are five really highly qualified candidate cities”, IOC President Thomas Bach said.
