Torres released from hospital day after scary head clash

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres was hospitalised after losing consciousness after a nasty fall in his side’s draw at Deportivo La Coruna.

The world of football has come together to wish Torres, 32, a speedy recovery from his injury.

“It was unbelievable how Vrsaljko and Gabi reacted in that moment of shock”.

It added he was now “stable, conscious and lucid” after being rushed to hospital where he will spend the night for observation.

Following the incident, medical staff rushed to support the star and he was quickly transported to hospital, where he remains on Friday.
