TOWIE’s Nanny Pat dies aged 80

Her family gave a statement to the Daily Mail earlier today (December 16) confirming that the much-loved matriarch, whose full name was Patricia Brooker, had died following a “short illness”.

Nanny Pat was a mother of five, including Carol Wright, Jess and Mark’s mum, and was grandmother to 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother to six.

The Only Way is Essex star Pat Brooker – better known as Nanny Pat – has died aged 80 after a short illness.

Her 80th birthday was screened on the series last month, and she became emotional when presented with a framed photograph of her late husband Charlie. “Thinking about all of the Wright family”.

“My thoughts are with the Wright family ‪#nannypat‬”.

Dan Osborne, who left TOWIE this year, shared a topless photo with the show’s favourite and captioned it: “RIP nanny Pat”.

With tears streaming down her face, she joked: “He’s everywhere”.

Jessica Wright revealed that the family had returned from a Christmas trip to NY on hearing the news.

He said: ” Oh no, Nanny Pat. The time she absolutely ROCKED a hard hat… it’s a great look Nanny Pat! . You was the biggest legend ever and you will continue to be.

“She was an angel an will be sorely missed she wasn’t just nanny pat to us she was to the nation”.

In 2012, she released a book about her life as a childhood in the Blitz-ravaged East End, called Penny Sweets And Cobbled Streets.
