Tracy Morgan earns first movie role since vehicle crash
Washington D.C., Sept 23: After the tragic bus accident, Tracy Morgan may be planning to make an on-screen return as he is in talks to joins the cast of New Line’s upcoming comedy ‘ Fist Fight’. Richie Keen will direct. The movie centers on two high school teachers, played by Ice Cube and Day, who wind up in a fist fight.
Hot off his surprise appearance at the 67th annual Primetime Emmys Sunday night, Tracy Morgan has nabbed his first role in a film since his auto crash in June 2014. It’s a film written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux. There hasn’t been any confirmation yet as to what role Morgan will play in the movie though. Norris will play the school’s principal, with Bell playing a guidance counselor.
“Fist Fight” will be Morgan’s first movie since he was seriously injured in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in June 2014, when a Walmart truck struck a limo carrying the comedian and several others.
Day is set to executive produce the project alongside Dan Cohen, Marty Ewing, and Billy Rosenberg.
The actor has been slowly but surely making his way back into the public eye in recent weeks. He was even able to crack a few jokes amidst his emotional speech. Morgan will also be back on the small screens this coming October 17 to be the host of Saturday Night Live a show very familiar to him since he also previously had the chance to host it in the past. The production is going to start later this month, to be set in Atlanta.
