Tracy Morgan is Hilarious in “SNL” Promo Clips: Watch Here!
His upcoming SNL hosting gig is more of a return for the star, who got his big break after he was first cast on the live comedy show in 1996. Morgan asks, looking confused.
“There are times where I have my good days and my bad days, where I forgot things, you know”, Morgan told Matt Lauer about his recovery. “I can’t remember anymore”, Morgan says to Bobby Moynihan, getting serious for a moment.
“It will be after I’m done with it”, declares Morgan.
Yes, all is back to normal on the Tracy Morgan front. The 30 Rock actor was a cast member for seven years of time of time, before leaving the show in 2003, returning in March 2009 to host the show.
What we’ve got here first and foremost of interest is the fact alone that Tracy Morgan is hosting. Moynihan reminds him of this fact, and Morgan has a clever response.
“Did I use to work here?” “Yeah, I remember – I remember everything!” Replying to his signature line, Moynihan let out a sigh and said, “That’s our Tracy”.
When Morgan first reemerged after his accident, he was seen leaving in a wheelchair, and it was reported that he might never be the Tracy Morgan the entertainment world knows him as. He joked about his speech therapy during the gigs.
Earlier this year, Morgan made a surprise appearance at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
“It’s been a long road back”.
“He added: “(When I woke up) I was just ecstatic to learn I wasn’t the one who messed up”.
Morgan suffered multiple broken bones and head trauma on June 7, 2014 when a Walmart truck slammed into his limo van on the N.J. Turnpike.
Last June he was on the verge of dying after a serious vehicle crash that killed one of his closest friends, and thankfully Tracy Morgan has recovered from his injuries enough to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
