Tracy Morgan to host ‘Saturday Night Live’
There haven’t been a lot of updates about Morgan’s condition, so the ones that show progress have been welcome news for fans of the over-the-top performer.
The first hosts for the upcoming season of “Saturday Night Live” are announced.
Tracy Morgan is ready to make a comeback.
If you couldn’t already guess from that overly used, and obvious lyric pun, Miley Cyrus will hit the iconic SNL stage for the season premiere on October 3 as a third-time host.
Morgan has been in recovery since the June 2014 accident on the New Jersey Turnpike, when a Walmart truck collided with the limo he was riding in, killing comedian James McNair and injuring three others in the auto, along with Morgan.
NBC also announced on Monday that comedian Amy Schumer, star and writer of the summer movie “Trainwreck“, will host “Saturday Night Live” for her first time on Oct.10.
Oh, and two weeks later, TRACY MORGAN. While his focus at the time was on healing, Morgan added he could not wait “to get back to comedy”. But this time, all he need to do is to get better and 100 percent healed. Morgan was a cast member on SNL for eight seasons from 1996 to 2003.
He ended the interview promising that he’ll soon get back to making us all laugh.
“I’m hosting SNL October 10th!!!”
Last month, the 46 year old gave an emotional account of the harrowing experience on NBC’s “Today” show to Matt Lauer, wondering at one point whether he was ever going to “be amusing again”.
