Tracy Morgan Welcomed By “30 Rock” Cast In Emotional Return To Comedy
Tracy Morgan returned to “Saturday Night Live” for the first time since a vehicle crash a year ago left him in a coma.
Tracy even managed to laugh off the accident, and began his opening monologue by pretending to have a speech impediment, before saying he was “just joking”.
Tracy Morgan made a comeback to the world of comedy as he officially returned to “Saturday Night Live”. A spoof of the Democratic debate featured Larry David in rip-roaring form as Bernie Sanders to Kate McKinnon’s grasping Hillary Clinton. They congregate near ponds.
“Those watching at home were also excited over the return of Morgan using the hashtag “#WelcomeBackTracy”.
In June 2014, a Wal-Mart truck going 20 miles per hour over the speed limit in New Jersey rear-ended the limo van carrying Morgan and his party.
The comedian wasted no time in addressing his traumatic experience of June past year, which killed his good friend, fellow comedian James McNair.
Live from New York, it’s the return of Tracy Morgan! “But I’m back!” The crowd roared. He noted that people weren’t sure if he would have 100% mental capacity.
Along with Baldwin, Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer joined Morgan as he flashed back to a special 2012 episode of 30 Rock. And although he may not have lived up to his oft-repeated promise to get somebody pregnant, the “30 Rock” funnyman was welcomed back with open arms.
“People are wondering can he speak?”
In September, Morgan made a surprise appearance at the end of the Emmy Awards, where he walked on stage unassisted and tearfully told the audience, “I miss you guys so much”. While acknowledging the mounds of support he received from the public and friends, including his “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, SNL creator Lorne Michaels, Morgan also took the opportunity to crack a few jokes. “I never did.” Tracy quipped, alluding to the lovable doofuses he has portrayed on SNL and 30 Rock.
