Tracy Morgan Will Make Triumphant Return to SNL This Fall
Morgan, a former “SNL” cast member for seven seasons, will host the show for his second time on October. 17.
Musical guests will be announced later.
According to NBC, who tweeted out the announcement on Monday, the first three hosts of the upcoming season will be Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan.
This won’t be the first hosting gig for Cyrus; the “We Can’t Stop” singer is set to host the MTV Video Music Awards on August 30. This will be his first major TV comeback after a life-threatening auto accident in 2014.
Morgan, 46, suffered broken ribs, a broken nose, and broken leg when a Walmart tractor-trailer hit the limo bus that the comedian was traveling in on the New Jersey Turnpike past year. In an emotional interview in June, Morgan was confident he’d come back stronger than ever. Which celebrities would you like to see host an episode of SNL this fall?
Oh, and two weeks later, TRACY MORGAN.
Actress and comic Amy Schumer also will host this season, on October 10. The “Trainwreck” star celebrated the news on Twitter in a very Amy way. “I promise you, one day when I’m 100 percent, I’m gonna grab that mic and I’m never going to let it go”.
