Trade and tea with queen for Trump in a Britain in ‘turmoil’
It is the USA president’s first visit to the United Kingdom since he won the election and he will meet with both Theresa May at Chequers and the Queen in Windsor.

Opposition lawmakers, backed by an online petition signed by almost 1.9 million people, called on May to cancel the state visit offered when she met Trump in Washington after his inauguration in January past year.
May called Trump in March to express her “deep concern” about his plans to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports from the European Union and others.
More than 50,000 people have signed up to demonstrate in London on Friday when protesters intend to fly a large balloon over parliament portraying Trump as an orange, snarling baby. The issue is, “Do they have freedom to protest, freedom to assemble and should they be allowed to do so?”
Trump heads to Britain just days after several high-level cabinet ministers, including Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, resigned over Brexit negotiations.
“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet for somebody that holds such abhorrent views”.
“I hope Americans in Britain will join the protests against Donald Trump on Friday in their thousand”, he tweeted.
Winfield House has one of the largest private gardens in greater London – but it won’t be possible to see the “Trump baby” balloon from its grounds.
