Trailer for Sherlock’s Christmas Victorian special is released
Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) are coming back together in the Victorian era getting ready for a war.
We don’t tend to give our addresses out to random strangers, but if we sound as cool as Sherlock does when giving out his deeds, then we might start doing.
You can also expect appearances from supporting players like Rupert Graves, Louise Brealey, Jonathan Aris, Amanda Abbington and Una Stubbs; but with new Victorian age twists. Check out the all-new trailer below along with the BBC fall, winter programs trailer, and the first look video of the “Sherlock” Victorian special. Maybe we’ll just alternate them all. The teaser also shows that the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle characters maintain their compatibility and flair, even after departing from modernity.
One spoiled us on Wednesday night.
“We discovered there was a fewprecedent for doing Sherlock in the Victorian era”, said Moffat at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
“You’re Sherlock Holmes, for God’s sake” he snaps, “wear the damn hat!”
Sherlock is returning this December with a one-off Christmas special.
The special will have to tide fans of the show over until 2016, when the long awaited fourth season is rumored to be airing. In addition, the BBC always makes every effort to impress for these Christmas specials.
The trailer has everything: cool facial hair, Deerstalker caps, capes, horse-drawn carriages, dead bodies, pipes, eerie smoke-filled alleys and so much good stuff.
Each of the first three seasons of “Sherlock” only had three episodes apiece, but the TV series is very popular especially in its home country, the UK.
Sherlock – at least the version Cumberbatch has made his own ’til now – has always prided himself in his mind being his ultimate weapon.
