Hydrogen powered vehicles emit only water vapour from the tailpipe but are on a par with conventional vehicles in terms of size, driving range, speed and refuelling time.

The vehicle is Toyota’s first mass-market hydrogen fuel cell auto and went on sale in Japan at the end of a year ago. The company has been involved in over 200 hydrogen fueling projects in the United States and 20 countries worldwide. Cars, trucks, vans, buses, scooters, forklifts, locomotives, planes, cell towers, material handling equipment, and even submarines have been fuelled with trend-setting Air Products’ technologies.

A lack of widespread hydrogen fueling stations is one of the challenges facing the adoption of hydrogen fuel.

Hydrogen can be produced through a wide variety of renewable energy sources including solar and wind power.
