Trapattoni lauds Ancelotti’s signing by Bayern Munich
Bayern will be the latest in a stellar list of clubs managed by Ancelotti.
Busquets was brought into the Barca first-team by Guardiola during his time in charge at the Nou Camp and he clearly remains a big fan of the intelligent defensive midfielder.
City, who are ran by former Barcelona directors Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano, seem the most likely option.
It was at Bayern Munich’s Christmas party that Pep Guardiola informed the club’s hierarchy that he would be moving on at the end of the season.
Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport: ‘Bayern will win the Bundesliga without even taking their hands out their pockets. Carlo has won the Champions League, twice with AC Milan and [once] with Real Madrid.
Guardiola has delivered two Bundesliga titles and the DFB-Pokal since arriving at Bayern in 2013 but has yet to replicate the Champions League success enjoyed by predecessor Jupp Heynckes.
“That is what we were looking for, and that is what we have found. We are looking forward to working with him”.
“The rumours are that, with the ex-Barcelona guys at Manchester City, that he will be coming in at the end of the season, but they are only rumours at the moment”.
“Carlo Ancelotti has been successful everywhere”, he said.
And Mills believes the club have the responsibility to let supporters, and most of all the manager, know of their long-term plan, warning that their form may suffer if they don’t.
Trapattoni congratulated Bayern for appointing Ancelotti in an interview with German tabloid Bild.
‘When I knew of the club’s interest I didn’t want to consider any other offer. “He’s an incredibly experienced coach”.
